When does registration open for the 2022 event?
Registration for the WineShine Half Marathon and 3.9-Miler will open on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 8AM. All race distances will be open until Wednesday, July 13, 2022 or until sellout.
I registered for the event and cannot attend. Can I receive a refund?
Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds. We do, however, offer the ability for you to transfer your entry to a friend.
Can I transfer my registration?
Yes, to see how to transfer your entry, click HERE. There is a $35 fee to transfer your entry.
Can I switch race distance categories?
Yes, to see how to switch your race distance category, click HERE. When logged into your participant account, you can make these changes inside your registration. Click on “Registration Option” on the lower right corner of your screen. The option to switch categories will become available.
There is a $10 fee to upgrade your race distance. You will also be charged the difference for the category upgrade backdated to the time of your registration. Last date to make changes is June 6, 2022.

What do I get with my registration?
General registration for both the Half Marathon and the 3.9-Miler includes a technical tank or t-shirt from Recover Brands made from recycled materials, a wine-themed medallion, and a commemorative wine glass for unlimited wine tastings at the post-race festival. Half Marathon entries also include a bottle of wine from our partner, Revelshine. Entries also include a custom bib, access to a free training program, and free shuttles from off-site parking. Proceeds from the WineShine Half Marathon and 3.9-Miler support Napa Firewise and the Napa Valley Farmworker Foundation. Is there a packet pick-up for the event or can I have my bib mailed to me?
The WineShine Half Marathon and 3.9-Miler Expo will take place on Friday, July 15, 2022 at the Silverado Resort. Bib pick up is free at the Expo. If you would like your bib mailed to you, you can select that option for a $20 fee. Bib mailing is available through June 6, 2022.
When and where is the race expo? The expo will take place at the Silverado Resort on Friday, July 15, 2022. Hours are 9am – 6pm.
Do you offer race day packet pick up? For those who cannot attend the expo, we have a bib mailing option available for a $20 fee. You can also select race morning packet pick up for a $20 fee.
Can I wear headphones? Yes, headphones are allowed. We still encourage people to run without headphones to better enjoy the beautiful scenery of our course and to chat with fellow runners, but the choice is yours. Please run safely.
Will you have pacers? The local Napa community running club, the Vinerunners, will take on pacing duties. The race will feature pacers for finish times between 1:30 and 3:30 hours. Go to www.wineshinehalfmarathon.org for more information and pacing times.
What is the time limit for the half marathon? The half marathon has a STRICT 3.5 hour cut off. This is 16:00 minute per mile pace. If you are unsure if you can complete the half marathon in 3.5 hours, we encourage you to enter the 3.9-Miler.
How old do you have to be to participate in the half marathon? Half Marathon participants are required to be 12 years and older. Participants under 21 years of age will not receive the wine glass or festival tasting.
Are jogging strollers allowed? We unfortunately do not allow strollers in the Half Marathon or 3.9-Miler for safety purposes.
Are dogs allowed on the course or in the finish festival? Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on course or at the finish line at Silverado Resort.
